I made this Lost Creature for the 3D Artist Magazine. The Wanderer, was published in issue number 87 of the magazine, along with a detailed tutorial in which I described the whole creation process of this character, from concepts and sketching to final render and composition. Like most characters from my Lost Creatures series, this one also has a little story and was done primarily using ZBrush and Photoshop.
Interactive Base Mesh
Here is an interactive view of the 3D model. This is the base mesh I used to sculpt the details on, nothing very exiting but I thought I show you a couple of things with this 3D viewer – One, the simple but effective topology I got from ZRemesher and two, how I cut up the model into polygroups for the FiberMesh creation.
It is not very obvious, but if you look closely you’ll see the seems in the model that separate the polygroups. in the face and the arms are clearer.
